Located just on the edge of central Bristol is a small collection of shops called Cabot Circus. You know it? Well, just on the opposite side of the road from side of Cabot Circus with Harvey Nichols, Next and House of Fraser on a road just to the right of Future Inns car park lies our lovely little tavern in the town! Me hearties, the treasure map below be better!
One thing that our parent pub, The Hope and Anchor, taught us from a young age was that you can’t please everyone! … that and DON’T SPILL BEER! So considering this advice we’ll try and paint a picture of ourselves with some do’s and do not’s…
- WE DO believe that pubs play an important role in a community and that customers should be able to enjoy a decent meal and drink in a safe and relaxed environment. For this reason we have a zero-tolerance policy towards anti-social behaviour. No shirt? No shoes? …You might want a clothes shop instead, mate. Try Cabot Circus.
- WE DO enjoy to eat good food, so it makes sense to serve it too right? Right. Feel free to have a gander at our menu.
- WE DO, oh believe us we do, enjoy a cracking pint of real ale, but only when it’s served in the very best of conditions. Policy: if we wouldn’t drink it, we wouldn’t serve it! Our manager, Peter Gibbs, has had seven years to learn the ropes at The Hope and Anchor so you’re in safe hands. We have four hand pumps fitted with total control on what we want to stock!
- WE DO also appreciate that the world doesn’t revolve around real ale so we also stock, on tap, Grolsh, Carling and Magners Gold. You will also be able to find bottled lagers from around the world, bottled ciders from the only place worth getting them – here in the West Country, a fantastic selection of wines, soft drinks and spirits with a focus on single malt scotch whiskies!
- WE DO NOT have a pool table. Nor gaming machines or sports on TV. Just thought we should throw it out there…
- WE DO NOT have an issue with families, so feel free to bring the whole gang down, you know what, bring the dog too!
